Almost certainly not — and we'd rather tell you before you pay. Connecticut runs a separate, statutorily-defined track for family-violence cases, administered through the Court Support Services Division (CSSD): the pretrial Family Violence Education Program (FVEP) under C.G.S. § 46b-38c (9 weekly sessions), and the post-conviction EXPLORE (26 weeks, 26 sessions) or EVOLVE (26 weeks, two sessions a week — 52 sessions total, for the highest-risk cases). Connecticut's own Domestic Violence Offender Program Standards specifically prohibit treating anger as the primary framework in these cases. This class is not FVEP, EXPLORE, or EVOLVE, and we don't want to sell it to you as one.
If your charge involves a domestic or family violence element, or a protective order, confirm with your attorney, probation officer, or the court before enrolling in a general anger-management class — you may need FVEP, EXPLORE, or EVOLVE instead. If your order simply says "anger management" with no family-violence element, this class is built for exactly that; if you'd like a second pair of eyes on the wording first, contact our support team.
