Disclaimer
Last updated: June 21, 2026
Courseable provides educational courses — not legal advice, treatment, or a guaranteed outcome. Please read these disclaimers before you enroll.
1. Educational purpose only — not legal advice
Courseable's courses, website, blog, and other materials are for general educational and informational purposes only. They are not legal advice and should not be relied on as a substitute for advice from a licensed attorney about your specific situation. Using the Service does not create an attorney-client relationship, and no content should be interpreted as a recommendation about how to handle your case.
2. You must confirm your own requirement
Acceptance is never guaranteed by us in advance — confirm with the right people first. Requirements vary by state, county, court, and the specific terms of your order, plea, probation, or diversion program. Before you enroll, it is your responsibility to confirm with your court, probation officer, attorney, or referring agency:
(a) that an online, self-study course is accepted for your requirement; (b) the correct subject and number of hours you need; and (c) whether your jurisdiction requires a specific licensed or approved provider.
Our separate 100% Court-Acceptance Guarantee describes the limited circumstances in which we will refund your fee if an accepted certificate is nonetheless refused — but it does not replace your responsibility to verify your requirement before enrolling.
3. What our courses are not
Unless a specific course expressly states otherwise, our courses are not:
- a Batterer's Intervention Program (BIP) or domestic-violence intervention program (which are specialized programs typically requiring many weeks of in-person sessions with a certified provider);
- a DUI/DWI assessment, education, or treatment program, or a substance-abuse evaluation or treatment;
- therapy, counseling, psychological or psychiatric care, or medical advice or treatment of any kind; or
- a clinical evaluation, diagnosis, or fitness/risk assessment.
If your requirement calls for any of the above, our general educational course will not satisfy it. Check your paperwork carefully and ask your attorney or probation officer if you are unsure.
4. No guarantee of outcomes
Completing a course and earning a certificate does not guarantee any particular legal, disciplinary, employment, custody, licensing, or other result — including the dismissal or reduction of charges, the satisfaction of probation, the reinstatement of a license, or any decision by a court, agency, employer, or other party. Those decisions are made solely by the relevant authority.
5. Testimonials, reviews & statistics
Reviews, testimonials, and statistics shown on the Service (for example, pass rates or average completion times) reflect the experiences or aggregated data of other students and are not promises or predictions about your results. Your experience may differ.
6. Instructors & content experts
Our courses may reference licensed professionals and subject-matter experts who help develop or review content. Their involvement is for the purpose of creating quality educational material. Taking a course does not create a therapist-client, physician-patient, attorney-client, or other professional relationship with any instructor, expert, or with Courseable.
7. Third-party content & links
The Service may include or link to third-party content, websites, and resources, including participating attorneys or referral resources. We do not control or endorse third-party content and are not responsible for its accuracy, legality, or practices.
8. Accuracy & changes
We work to keep our content accurate and current, but laws, requirements, and information change, and errors can occur. We make no warranty that the information on the Service is complete, accurate, or up to date, and we may update it at any time without notice. Always verify time-sensitive or jurisdiction-specific details with an authoritative source.
9. If you need immediate help
Our courses are educational and are not a crisis service. If you or someone else is in danger or experiencing a crisis, contact emergency services (911 in the U.S.). You can reach the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988, and the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-7233.
