From a Fellow Defense Attorney
MM
"Courseable is where I now send all my clients to."
A peer perspective on what makes Courseable worth recommending — from a Houston criminal defense
attorney who reviewed both course curriculums.
Finding a program I can confidently recommend has always been a challenge — most online options feel like checkbox exercises with no real educational value.
I reviewed both curriculums in detail. The material is grounded in evidence-based approaches — cognitive behavioral techniques, conflict resolution, emotional regulation. Not just filler content.
The courses have been accepted by every court I've submitted certificates to, and the certificates clearly document the hours completed, the curriculum covered, and the provider credentials — exactly what courts and probation officers need to see.
When your client's case depends on demonstrating genuine effort toward change, the quality of the program they complete matters. Courseable is the one I now send my clients to.

Have questions? We've got answers. Explore our FAQs to learn more about Courseable and how it works.
Are Courseable certificates accepted by courts and probation offices?
Yes. Our courses are designed to meet the standards most courts and agencies require (time-tracked modules, quizzes, a final assessment, and a verifiable certificate). Acceptance decisions can vary by judge or county. We provide a detailed syllabus and instant certificate verification to support approval.
How do I verify a student's certificate?
Every certificate includes a unique verification ID and link. Enter the ID on our verification page to confirm learner name, course, hours, and completion date. You can also request the certificate PDF from the student or from us with the ID.
What information appears on the certificate?
The learner's legal name, the course title with its length (total hours, or weeks attended for live classes), the completion date, a unique verification ID with a QR code and verification link, and the Courseable signature block. The Letter of Enrollment also prints the court and case number when the student enters them at enrollment.
How do the courses ensure required hours are completed?
Courses are time-tracked. Learners must view lessons, complete knowledge checks, and pass the final quiz to unlock the certificate. Idle timeouts prevent "running in the background."
Can we get a sample certificate and a course outline for our files?
Yes. We can provide a sample certificate PDF, a course syllabus/outline, and a verification demo. Request them via email at support@courseable.com.
What formats and durations are available?
We offer courses in self-paced and weekly formats, in 4, 8, and 12-hour lengths (anger management and decision making also offer 16 hours, and self-paced anger management also offers 20 and 24 hours).
Are courses mobile-friendly?
Yes. Courses work on phones, tablets, and computers.
How fast can a learner receive a certificate?
Immediately after passing the final quiz and meeting the time requirements. The certificate downloads instantly and is also emailed to the learner.
What if a learner fails the final quiz?
Knowledge checks throughout the course help prepare students for the final test. If they fail the final test, they can purchase a retake.
How do my clients get the partner discount?
From your partner portal, choose the course and enter your client's name and email. We email them a private enrollment link with their discount — up to 50% off — already applied, so there's no code to enter. Each link covers one client and one course.
Can others in our office use the portal?
Yes. Add colleagues from your portal so everyone in your office can invite clients and see their progress, each with their own sign-in.
Can our office receive completion reports?
Yes. Your partner portal shows each invited or sharing client's progress in real time, with their enrollment letter, audit report, and certificate ready to download. Anyone can also confirm a completion on our site with the certificate's verification ID.
How is learner data protected?
We collect the minimal information needed to run the course and issue certificates. Data is transmitted over HTTPS, stored securely, and never sold. We can share our security overview upon request.
Can you invoice our organization or accept purchase orders?
By default, students pay individually via Stripe at checkout. For agencies requiring invoicing or POs, contact us and we'll work out an arrangement that fits.
What support is available for learners and agencies?
Email support (and in-course help) during business hours, with quick response times. We prioritize active court deadlines; urgent cases can note their date in the ticket subject.
What if a court declines an online course?
It's extremely uncommon, as long as the student picks a course length that satisfies what their court, PO, or attorney prescribed. In the rare case a court blanket-rejects online courses, we recommend the user contact us. We'll supply the outline and verification details for re-review. If the court doesn't accept your client's certificate, they send us the written rejection and the official's contact details within 30 days, and we refund their course fee in full.
How do we get started as a partner?
Create your free partner account on this page: it takes a minute. We email you a sign-in link (no password needed), and you can invite clients as soon as we've confirmed your account.
