Alexandria Hawkins is a criminal justice and social policy professional with more than a decade of experience spanning community-based services, corrections, behavioral health, and public policy. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Criminology from North Carolina State University and a Master's degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Cincinnati, with a focus on corrections and offender rehabilitation.

Throughout her career, Alexandria has worked at the intersection of criminal justice, behavioral health, and social services, including roles in federal probation, reentry services, policy research, and Medicaid policy. Her work has focused on improving systems, strengthening community supports, and advancing more effective and equitable approaches to justice and public health. She has also served in leadership and volunteer roles focused on social justice, behavioral health, and professional development.

Federal & State Community Supervision

Alexandria served as a U.S. Probation Officer in the federal system and as a probation officer at the state level in North Carolina — managing caseloads, supervising court-ordered conditions, and verifying program completion with the courts.

Cognitive Program Facilitation

She facilitated Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT) groups for people under supervision — hands-on experience with the thinking-error and cognitive-behavioral work many court-ordered classes are built on.

Policy Research & Program Evaluation

Her policy work includes auditing community behavioral-health programs and co-authoring a national reentry-housing report published by the CSG Justice Center in partnership with the U.S. Department of Justice's Bureau of Justice Assistance.
